Redemptive Opportunity

My goal in founding Britten & Bailey´s is to make a difference in the lives of my customers and the future employees we hire. To this point I have been able to provide a level of customer service that is unheard of in 2022 to my retail partners as well as customers.

In a world where so many are looking for purpose and seem lost, I want to offer a place for people to find their calling in business. I believe in doing the right thing, even if it is difficult and I love that I get to show that in how I do things. My goal is to go over and above for my customers (both wholesale and direct). This means I show up for my people. I offer local pick up to save on shipping costs to wholesale customers, because every little bit helps. I offer my design help in displaying our products to achieve the look that sells our products. To this point it has meant not getting paid myself to ensure our contract employee got paid with a bonus for the holiday. I believe those things make a difference in the lives of others, maybe not right now but some day they will look back on those things and it will change the course of how they treat someone else. These are the little things that change our city, one person at a time.

Tiffany emerged in the candle industry over a decade ago and became a candle expert through her role as home fragrance buyer for a major retailer. She immediately fell in love with fine fragrance and began to dream of a line all her own. In 2018 she launched Britten & Bailey's Home Fragrance and has sold more than 12,000 candles all over the United States and Canada.

Business Model

We are a consumer product business offering e-commerce, recurring monthly subscriptions and wholesale sales channels. This diversity has allowed us to follow the market even when COVID hit and closed our wholesale channels for months/years. I believe our flexibility and multi-channel model has set us up for success in the current uncertain market. In 2018 the candle industry accounted for 8.38 billion USD and is expected to reach around 13.72 billion USD by 2026. This industry s one of the fastest growing industries currently and experienced tremendous growth during the downturn through COVID.

The candle and home fragrance industry is a well established market, our competition has been around for many years. We are positioned in direct competition with companies like Capri Blue, Voluspa, Dictique, and Nest. Our niche is that we offer the same, if not higher quality wax blends and luxury exclusive fragrances at a more affordable cost. We also optimize our candle system to ensure there is no wax tunneling (leaving wax on the side of the glass jars), our wicks stay lit through the entire burn of the candle and we ensure fragrances fill customer´s space.

With expert branding, established product market fit, unmatched quality and customer experience we are positioned to seek large key wholesale accounts (like Saks Fifth Avenue), we have invested in a website and marketing strategy that engages customers when they visit our site and keeps them coming back for more and we have proven strategies to propel our growth and overtake market share.
