Eric Patrick's and Zach Ball's goal is to help law firms and law firm leaders be more effective in their individual missions by providing them with the real-time business intelligence they need to make quick, informed decisions. While a few competitors exist that offer law firm reporting, Smarter Firms' goal is to differentiate itself with features and benefits that others are not yet providing. 

They also have unique life experiences including touring with the band Korn.
